The MVP strategic framework highlights a new approach to increasing historically and continually underrepresented demographic populations. The MVP approach is based on intersectional, demographic analysis and research beyond aggregated minority and women data. This presentation will highlight the importance of: Mentorship within the organizational framework and employee resource groups, Visibility opportunities for historically under represented, and career Progression of the Career progression of the underrepresented communities of color in an organization.
Bio: Aaron D. Jim Jr. is quickly emerging as one of the most admired leaders in America today.
A registered member of the Navajo Nation and a lifelong member of the Cochiti Pueblo tribe, Aaron is a Senior Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist at Sandia National Laboratories. He is a senior advisor to the Chief Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging Officer as the Labs subject matter expert in federal employment law and best practices in areas such as Affirmative Action, Title VII, and ethics.
Prior to Sandia, Aaron served as a Senior Civil Rights Investigator at the University of New Mexico and a clerk for the Chief Justice of the Navajo Nation Supreme Court. He holds three degrees from the University of New Mexico including a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, an Executive Master of Business Administration, and a Juris Doctorate.
In his personal time, Aaron is in his second season as an assistant football coach at a local high school that serves the Native American community. It is this experience that has been the most fulfilling, the ability to nurture relationships with student-athletes as an investment in a better future for them, their families, and their community.
