Topic: Moving Beyond Just Compliance a Practical Approach to Universal Design in the Workplace
The University of Arizona Disability Resource Center leads the campus in a progressive and proactive approach to accessibility. Our goal is to ensure disabled students, employees, and visitors have a similar, if not identical, experience to their non-disabled counterparts. We work to reduce the need for individual accommodations through proactive collaboration with University partners to impact the systemic design of campus environments. Using real-world examples and giving you an opportunity to put some of what you learn to use join us for a look into how Universal Design can provide practical ways to create inclusive physical, digital, and interpersonal environments. Additional information will be shared on Accessible Hiring Practices and Physical/Digital Accessibility in the Workplace. We look forward to seeing you there!
